Norman Wilson (born 1928, died 2018) wrote a weekly ‘Nature Notes’ column for the Banffshire Journal from 1971 to 1987. These chapters are his summarisation and collection of that material, retyped and very lightly edited by his daughter, Anne Johnson. He offered it for publication without success in the early 1990s. Posting it here in May 2024 for family and friends. Revised in March 2025 to add drawings and paintings, created by Sheila Chapman.
